About TrueQR

The honest QR code generator

Why we built this

Most QR code generators hand you a "free" code, you print it on 500 flyers, and one month later get an email: "Your free trial has ended. Your QR codes will stop working unless you upgrade."

That's not a free QR code. That's a hostage situation.

We built TrueQR because we got burned by exactly this. We wanted a generator that was upfront about what you were getting — static codes that are genuinely free forever, and paid features that are clearly labeled as paid.

How it works

A static QR code encodes your URL, contact info, or WiFi credentials directly into the black-and-white pixel pattern. There's no server involved — the code just works, forever, completely independent of TrueQR's existence.

Dynamic QR codes are different. They encode a short redirect URL that our servers forward to your actual destination. Dynamic codes can be updated after printing and come with scan analytics. They require an active subscription — and we tell you that clearly before you generate one.

Our promise

  • Static QR codes are free forever. No expiration date, no watermark, no hidden catch.
  • We tell you which type you're generating before you generate it.
  • If you cancel your subscription, your static codes keep working.
  • We don't sell your data. We don't require an account to generate a static code.
  • We reply to every support message.
